Part-Time Administrative Assistant
Required: Bilingual in Spanish/English
Part-Time: 20-25 hours
Reports to: Executive Director
Duties and Responsibilities:
Answer the phones and direct clients as needed
Assist the DOJ legal representative or attorney and/or director as needed
Prepare case documents and forms for the DOJ representative/attorney
Assist in maintaining accurate and complete client records, update client information and case status in case management database and physical files (Law software used: LawLogix)
Communicate with clients on status of their case and be responsive to inquiries
Identifies clients non-immigration needs and makes appropriate referrals to other social agencies
Collaborate with partner organizations to refer clients to legal, social, and mental health services as appropriate
Work effectively with interns and maintain strong communication
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Must be bilingual in Spanish/English
Bachelor’s Degree/Associate's degree is preferred or a minimum of two years working experience in related area
Ability to establish and maintain a positive and professional relationship with co-workers, clients, and visitors
Cultural sensitivity and ability to relate well and effectively in a diverse workplace and with a diverse client population
Ability to work in a team and handle multiple tasks in an organized and timely manner
Willingness to learn
Strong verbal communication skills are required

Ability to work with clients in crisis, victims, and recent trauma survivors
Compensation: $20,000-$24,700
Start Date: July 1, 2024
